Renting a PCO vehicle through CAROD.
Getting started
- Browse vehicles — no account needed.
- Create an account with your mobile number when you are ready to book.
- Upload your driving licence and PCO licence with their expiry dates.
- Once verified, send a booking request to the fleet owner.
- The fleet owner accepts, and you arrange collection with them.
Common questions
Do I need an account to look at vehicles?
No. Search, filter and read every listing without signing up. You only need an account when you want to book.
What documents do I need?
Your UK driving licence and your PCO/PHV driver licence. Proof of address is optional but speeds up approval. You enter the expiry date printed on each document when you upload it.
How long does verification take?
Usually one business day. You can upload documents at any time — you do not have to wait until you have found a vehicle.
Why can I not book yet?
Booking opens once both required licences are approved. If a document is rejected or has expired, upload a current one and you will be able to book again.
What happens when a document is about to expire?
We warn you 14 days before. If it lapses, new bookings are paused until you renew — but an active rental is not interrupted.
What do I pay?
The fleet owner’s weekly rental plus a £1.99 CAROD platform fee, and a refundable deposit set by the fleet owner. Everything is shown before you commit. See the pricing page.
Who is my rental contract with?
The fleet owner who supplies the vehicle. They are responsible for insurance and maintenance. CAROD handles verification, booking and payment.
